Project: DnD Scenery Cards
For this project, I designed a series of scenery cards for a client hosting an online Dungeons & Dragons game. The main challenge was capturing intricate details in the artwork while working with a limited canvas size, as the platform they used to host the game restricted the image dimensions.
Despite the small scale, I had to ensure that each card was visually engaging and conveyed enough detail to enhance the gaming experience without overwhelming the player.
It required careful attention to composition, color, and simplicity to ensure the designs were functional and immersive.
The Misty Mountain
:A vast mountain range shrouded in swirling mist, with towering peaks disappearing into the fog. Jagged cliffs line the ridgelines, and sparse trees cling to the rocky terrain. The atmosphere is mysterious and serene, with a winding trail that seems to beckon adventurers, though the fog makes it difficult to see what lies ahead.
Ruined city |Overgrown
A once-thriving city now lies in ruins, overtaken by nature. Crumbling stone buildings are blanketed in thick vines, moss, and trees that have sprouted from the cracks. The streets are hidden beneath the lush greenery, and the air is filled with the sounds of rustling leaves and distant wildlife. Once a bustling hub, the city now stands as a testament to nature’s ability to reclaim what was lost.
Ruined City |Flooded
A desolate city, its streets flooded with rainwater, causing the remnants of grand structures to disappear beneath the surface. Fog rolls in thick waves, obscuring much of the view and creating an eerie silence. The flooded buildings rise like half-submerged ghosts, their outlines barely visible in the mist. The once-beautiful city is now a somber and haunting ruin, slowly being consumed by the elements.
Ruined city |Dusty
A sprawling city nestled in the heart of a vast desert, where the air is thick with swirling dust and the sun beats relentlessly down. The buildings, made of sunbaked clay and stone, appear worn and weathered, their surfaces etched with time and sand. Streets are barely distinguishable beneath layers of fine dust that constantly shift with the wind, and the once-vibrant market squares are now quiet and desolate. The horizon is a blur of sand dunes, and the city feels like an oasis of history slowly being buried by the endless desert winds.
