---------------- ♠Electric Dreams (The Story)♠ Before I explain the story of my short film “Electric Dreams”, I hope you’ve watched and enjoyed it. Electric Dreams tells the story of a young boy heading to bed after a long day, spending time with his family during the holidays. After falling asleep to the sounds of music still emanating from the family gathering downstairs, the young boy dreams of how his mother and father met. Serving time as a soldier in the war, his father met many great men and made even more friends. During his time, he also witnessed the explosive destruction of another nation. Shaken by his moments in the army, his father later sets out to travel the countryside for a fresh start. Stopping at a large farm during his journey, he meets the young boy’s mother. Also searching for something new, she joins him in his journey across the country. After spending so much time together, they inevitably find their fresh start and settle down. Now in a new town together, they adopt a small dog who serves as their training of sorts for their upcoming child. Soon after marrying years later, they have their first child, a young boy who seems to take after his mother (shown by the back-to-back scenes of him waving and his mother waving at the camera). Thinking of his mother once again, we pan out to see the same young boy (now slightly more grounded up) still sound asleep, listening to the lingering music and silent ticks of his clock. I chose to tell the story of a family/generation, as with the current ongoing global pandemic, we lucky few who get to have our “electric dreams” often fantasize about our families we haven’t seen in what feels like forever and what it'll be like when we see them again.
